1.What do you do for a living?
I work in the entertainment industry as an actor and producer
2.How would you describe what you do?
As an actor I play different characters to bring entertainment to an audience. I refer to my position as manager in the industry when producing.
3.What does your work entail?
My work entails a lot of commitment, memorizing lines, rehearsals, studying, long hours, lot’s of energy and passion in what I do. Producing entails being a great leader.
4.What is a typical work week like?
In this industry I don’t know if I can say I have a typical work week.
5.How did you get started?
I’m one who started late in the game. I was in a place in my life I needed to pick my career and I don’t have a college education unless you consider Google a part of it. Family and friends encouraged me to give the entertainment biz a shot. I said why not. Then I learned, took action, got the bug for it and here I’am today.
6.What do you like about what you do?
The Challenge, I’m always learning and each project is different, I love the change it helps me not be bored.
7.What do you dislike?
The perception of the outsiders
8.What skills are needed to do your job?
Leadership, active listener, critical thinking, speak well, teachable
9.What is the most challenging about what you do?
Competition, Rejections , Judgment
10.What is the most rewarding?
Having a range of characters to play which is fun, Feeling of accomplishment after a project, Friendship’s and relationship’s built.
11.What advice would you offer someone considering this career?
Be ready to work hard, don’t give up and have FUN!
12.How much time off do you get?
It depends on the project the time of year but I would say I work more than I play
13.What else would you like people to know about your career?
It’s not all what you think it may be with all the glam. I work very hard and have to sacrifice a lot. I love what I do so it’s a win for me and most of all I have fun.
14.What is a common misconception people have about what you do?
I don’t think everyone can understand how much work really goes into this industry. The events and glam of it may seem fun to do all the time but there are times I’m not in the mood for them but still make an appearance.
15.What philanthropic or charitable organizations are you passionate about and why?
Inner Beauty platform because it is about providing events and resources of building confidence, self worth and encouraging them to know their INNER BEAUTY AND THE INNER HERO inside them.
