- What do you do for a Living?
Answer: I started modeling when I was 15 for local runways and in 1997 had the unique opportunity to meet Robin Williams on the set of Fathers Day. Since then I was traveling the world with my family and was blessed to live in Germany for 3 years give me the ability to travel Europe and see come of the most amazing countries in the world. To walk on stones that were laid before the United States was occupied by Europe. In 2011 I wanted to see how the film world has developed with the new technology available. I had the pleasure of being on Vampire Diaries and decided that being an actor was my career. You see Traveling all over the world I have had many different types of jobs from working in a Salon to operating Caterpillars and Back hoes in Landscaping. For a short time I had my pilots license in which I intend to get again.
- How would you describe what you do?
Answer: Entertainment is one world where I can use everything I have learned from all over the planet to bring a character to life in the most organic way. Through real life experiences.
- What does your work entail?
Being an actor is not just getting a script and reading some lines, it is your chance to push your limits and become someone else to the point of loosing your self in this world someone else has made.
- What is your typical work week like?
Answer: Getting up early and checking for new Auditions on 3-5 different websites, checking emails, social media. Spending a few hours setting up and rehearsing an Audition reel or driving to and Audition. When I am on set I get there an hour early and wait. I like to be the first person in the makeup chair when the Makeup artist is fresh and ready to go. Then I get the scene line up and go over what we are shooting first. Sometimes you have allot of different scenes in one day and other days it is a few scenes but a million different shots of the same scenes. It is always and adventure.
- How do you get Started?
Answer: I wake up early make the protein shake specially formulated for me by my childhood Doctor then I make my coffee and grab out a few different changes of clothes, shoes, and clean towels. You never know what your going to run into on different sets and someone always forgets something.
- What do you like about what you do?
Answer: I love being able to push myself to the limits to bring this person to life.
- What do you dislike?
Answer: Negative people who whine about problems instead of looking for solutions.
- What is most challenging about what you do?
Answer: Doing research on the character, Pushing my boundaries and not being worried about what people think of me as a person only that I am this Character.
- What is most rewarding?
Answer: Having people come up to me and tell me they liked my movie and ask for a picture. Having my fans send me Art work of their favorite charters that I played.
- What advice would you offer someone starting this career.
Answer: Treat it as a career not just another job. If you give 100% all of the time you will make it. Do your research and never assume you are better then anyone. Stay Humble.
- How much time off do you get?
Answer: Days, weeks or months it depends on what I am working on.
- What else would you like people to know about your career?
Answer: It is an ongoing learning experience that will test you at every angle. Don’t be afraid to fly.
- What is the common misconception people think about what you do?
Answer: People think you only need to read scripts and look pretty. There is so much more to being an actor then just looking pretty. You need to know how to emulate life and know what emotions to portray in the scenes. If all you needed was to be pretty half of Los Angeles would be successful actors.
