  1. What is your favorite part of being a fashion designer?

It is the time when I see my idea come to life. The process and transformation of having my idea to be seen in the form of clothing gives me immense joy. I work with limited colors and for me to bring out my idea to its fullest potential can sometimes be difficult. But, my persistency is the key to my patience. When I see my designs on the runway, I feel an immense satisfaction to know that my idea has done justice to the story behind my creation.

  1. Define Fashion.

Fashion for me is about applying aesthetics and natural beauty to clothing. Every style begins with a new idea. My photoshoots always have a concept. For me, fashion is not just about the exterior extravagance of standing out. The clothes you wear, should tell stories about the person you are and what you are made of. Fashion, is simply a mirror to your inner self.

  1. What is the most important skill a fashion designer requires?

It is creativity. There are hundreds of graduates each year, mostly belonging to the engineering and business background. The ones who come out of the fashion department are scarce in numbers where most of them settle for the RMG sector. The drive to be a creator and an entrepreneur is minimal. The motivation one needs to excel through trial and error is lacking in the pool of the new graduates. With the volatile fashion trends nowadays, dosage creativity is what the fashion industry needs for the ultimate boost. The passion to stitch and design fabrics and uphold your efforts as mean of comfort and taste can be draining but it is worth the energy because it is your dream.

  1. Describe your personal fashion style.

I was never the one for sparkle and glam. My own fashion taste is simple because I priorities my comfort over anything. If you see my wardrobe, you will find a monochromic line of clothes. Black and white are my go to choices when I am heading out, white being more dominant. These two colors, are not just prime bases for me; these colors make me comfortable and confident of my own ground.

  1. Do you have dissimilarities about fashion with the mass people?

Well, I am also one from the mass people. So I do share similar ideas with them. But as I am an expert in fashion, I do carry some different thoughts and views towards fashion. And all I want is to deliver, to spread that idea among all of the people. It’s just like, I am sharing what I am good at and I am blessed that people are appreciating me in it.
